Job Role
- To plan, develop mechanical engineering designs and implement as well as monitor and conduct site works to ensure quality mechanical works
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical engineering designs for in-house projects
- Conduct site inspections of ongoing projects to ensure quality mechanical works done on the site
- Attend project meetings at the site and elsewhere to assist with the smooth running of projects
- Audit mechanical engineering designs / technical reports submitted by consultants
- Provide mechanical engineering specifications for design briefs for consultants engaged in implementing projects
- Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) for the procurement of consultants
- Prepare evaluation reports and assist in negotiations
- Audit consultant's fee claims for payment by consultancy agreements
Supervisory Duties
- Supervise project teams concerning the mechanical engineering aspects of project planning, design and implementation
Qualification Required & Experience
- BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Membership of Ghana Institution of Engineers
