Job Description
Opportunity
As a growing organization, AGROPAL is seeking talents to complement its existing team with its mission of empowering every actor in the agricultural value chain. Therefore, AGROPAL is seeking to hire a Sourcing Officer to work within its Sourcing Department. Applicants must note that the opportunity requires flexibility based on the factory production schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
The hired candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Support the sourcing department in meeting yearly targets.
- Be responsible for leading sourcing activities within his/her designated zone.
- Sustain and create new relationships with our growers.

- Provide technical assistance and required support to producers as per the company policy.
- Undertake planned monitoring of target farmers’ fields.
- Support farmers within the target landscapes to adopt and maintain required certification standards (including Global GAP, Fair Trade and Organic)
- Assist in monitoring and regulating the use of pesticides to ensure out-growers are in compliance with customer’s requirements and European Union (EU) Maximum Residue Limit (MRL).
- Manage the inventory of raw materials received, stored, sorted and issued.
- Lead in coordinating quality raw material supply and related logistics from designated zones for processing.
Required Skills or Experience
Academic and career:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Agriculture/Agribusiness.
- At least three years of working experience in the sector.
- Experience in the pineapple value chain is required.
Other critical skills:
- Good leadership and management skills.
- Proven track record in stock management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
- Strong interpersonal skills; a team player and independent worker.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver direction and motivation in an effective manner at all levels.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Candidate should demonstrate integrity and accountability.
- Candidate should be able to ride a motorbike.
- Candidate should be residing in Nsawam and its environs.

- Nsawam or its environs.
