La Villa Boutique Hotel is a luxury hotel in Osu, the centre of Accra, Ghana. We are looking for an experienced hotel revenue manager. Expats are welcome.

The essential responsibilities:

  • In charge of assessing the monetary inflow through the hotel’s revenue streams and provide such assessments to the finance director and the chairman of the board.
  • Respect the confidentiality of the aforementioned assessments by disclosing them solely to the finance director and the chairman of the board unless authorized in written by them.
  • Implement and oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel.
  • In charge of daily pick-up analysis and reporting strategy adjustments.
  • Create, develop and implement pricing strategies.
  • Provide dynamic forecasts of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
  • Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide to the Chairman of the board and finance director summary reports with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.

  • Conduct monthly business and reports performance reviews and develop strategic and tactical actions.
  • Responsible for best practice standards to include environmental scanning; market modelling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; pricing control and new pricing concepts.
  • Evaluate the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates.
  • Inspire Hotel’s HODs to further embed a revenue management culture.
  • Implement revenue management optimisation to the hotel’s revenue streams.
  • Explore diverse opportunities to expand the hotel’s revenue existing streams and to create new ones.
  • Identify and explore potential options to expand and develop further the business.

 

Essential requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent understanding of maths, hotellerie statistics and business financials.
  • Outstanding reporting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • 2+ years of revenue management experience in hospitality.
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding team-playing skills, coordination, organisational and decision-making experience.
  • Experience in working with several currencies.
  • Ability to train subordinates.
  • Outstanding analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to create forecasts, and budgets and monitor trends.

 

PLUS

  • French and Italian languages are a plus
  • Graphic design/photoshop skills are a plus
  • Experience in sales is preferred.
