This involves managing the entire spectrum of machinery engineering from troubleshooting machinery to resolving breakdowns or faults to ensure that machinery is in good working order so production can run smoothly with zero-to-minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire spectrum of machine engineering from Installation, repair and maintenance to machine Improvement and plant extension.
- Analyze malfunctioning machines and systems, recommend corrective & preventative actions and perform modifications when needed.
- Test, monitor and evaluate equipment, instruments or components to identify and eliminate sources of failure to improve DigiExt’s manufacturing processes.
- Set up a yearly plan for machine preventive maintenance and corrective action (emergency plan).
- Gather data and compile reports to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing procedures.
- Ensure prompt remedial action and accurate investigation and reporting of all accidents and incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external safety, health & environmental instructions as well as rules and regulations
- Ensure that the place of work is safe and without risk to health or the environment, by conducting regular audits, inspections, and training.
- Maintain contact with customers and suppliers to ensure quality standards for machinery and products are being met.
- Provide job training and technical training to subordinates and direct reports.

Qualification and Requirements
- Must have a bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or a related Engineering field.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as a Factory Engineer
