Omni Strategies is currently hiring a Head of Software Engineering to lead its team of talented software engineers to deliver applications in line with business requirements. The qualified candidate must have excellent presentation skills, be outspoken and able to articulate the development processes and procedures in high-profile meetings and before our clients.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and understanding technical briefs delivered by our clients or senior management
- Outlining a plan for the technology department, setting deadlines, delegating tasks and identifying markers of success
- Coordinating a team of software developers and engineers to complete all necessary tasks within a project and undertaking practical software development work as part of the team
- Researching relevant technical requirements and ensuring that deliverables meet these requirements
- Troubleshooting and identifying solutions to problems as well as overseeing software testing procedures
- Responding to any errors or faults identified during software testing
- Recording development methods and procedures
- Keep up to date with the latest development software
- Provide guidance to the team and ensure they adhere to development standards
- Delivering updates on project progress
- Mentoring junior team members

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- You must have proven experience in leading software development teams.
- You must have extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
- Must be a good mentor & coach.
- The candidate must possess excellent problem-solving, analytical and great communication skills.
